Red-team Adversary eXecution Engine

RAZE. Examine attack scenarios before a real incident.

The Red-team Adversary eXecution Engine helps teams examine how an attacker could progress through an environment. RAZE organizes a scenario around MITRE ATT&CK techniques, expected activity, and available security evidence so teams can challenge assumptions and identify detection questions. It models possibilities for review. It does not launch attacks or change connected systems.

Adversary perspective. Non-destructive by design.

RED-TEAM ADVERSARY EXECUTION ENGINE

Use RAZE to examine possible attacker behavior and questions about your defenses. Its scenarios support investigation and planning. They are not attacks against your environment and do not prove that an incident occurred.

01 · Adversary Method

Follow the path an adversary might take, then ask what Nova should see.

RAZE starts with a security question and maps a possible sequence of attack techniques. Each stage describes the activity analysts would expect to see and the evidence they would need to examine. Use the scenario to review detection coverage and plan a focused validation exercise.

01

Objective-led scenario

Choose a specific security question about an asset, identity, or cloud environment.

02

MITRE-aligned path

Organize the hypothesis around recognizable adversary techniques so the path can be discussed in a common language.

03

Expected observables

Describe the evidence each step should leave behind without generating that activity in the environment.

04

Coverage perspective

Compare the activity an attack might produce with available detection rules and security events.

02 · Scenario findings

See the attack sequence, the assumptions and the detection questions.

Review the objective, attack technique, expected activity, and supporting context at each stage. This makes it possible to question a proposed path and identify what evidence would confirm or contradict it.

01 · HYPOTHESIS

What Could Happen

A possible sequence of attack techniques and the events they might produce, clearly identified as a scenario.

02 · COVERAGE

What your detections should recognize

A focused view of the detections, telemetry and validation questions needed to examine the scenario.

03 · Non-Destructive Boundary

A red-team perspective without changing production systems.

RAZE analyzes possible attack paths. It does not carry out response actions or change connected systems. Teams must check the actual events before treating a scenario as observed activity.

  • The Red-team Adversary eXecution Engine produces an adversary hypothesis, not a confirmed attack path.
  • It does not exploit assets, invoke cloud actions or alter the protected environment.
  • Expected observables remain expectations until independent evidence confirms them.
  • Any response recommendation remains advisory and follows the separate Nova Detection & Response eXchange governance path.

04 · Connected Defense System

The Red-team Adversary eXecution Engine challenges assumptions. The wider Nova system carries the evidence forward.
