Source reach, technique mapping, and active logic stay visible.
MeasuredDetection operations
Build measurable detection coverage
Improve signal quality with evidence, feedback and review.
Develop detection coverage with a clear view of how rules behave in the environment. Nova brings rule activity, alert outcomes, MITRE ATT&CK mappings, analyst feedback, and proposed improvements into the review process. NADE can help prepare a new or revised rule, while validation, testing, and approval determine whether the change becomes active.
Observed activity and analyst feedback reveal where tuning matters.
Review requiredProposed improvements remain controlled until an analyst approves use.
Published disabledA large rule library does not prove useful coverage
Detection owners need to know which rules are enabled, which produce meaningful activity, where technique or source coverage is thin and whether analyst outcomes support a change.

Measure detection effectiveness
Review coverage, activity and tuning signals before noise reaches the analyst.
Enabled coverage, technique mapping, source breadth, rule activity and feedback depth help teams identify where review is needed.
Explore detection prioritization
Govern the change
Validate and govern proposed improvements before publication.
Review manual and AI-assisted rule proposals before use. Where automatic promotion is configured, changes must still pass the required validation and safety checks.

Scoring informed by analyst review
Make alert priority more relevant to your team.
Confirmed true-positive and false-positive decisions help NovaSignal reflect the activity your team considers important. This personalization is available where enabled. Unreviewed alerts remain unreviewed, and scoring changes must pass quality checks before use.

Strengthen security operations
Give analysts the context to act with confidence.
Coverage teams can inspect
Review enabled rules, mapped techniques, source breadth and observed activity separately.
Alert quality in context
Use confidence, rate, distribution and noise indicators to focus tuning work.
Analyst outcomes inform NovaSignal
Use explicit reviewed outcomes to personalize future scoring while preserving the original alert evidence.
Govern before activation
Keep validation, review requirements, publication state and any automated safety gates visible before a proposed change joins the active workflow.
FAQ
Questions about Detection Engineering.
How does Nova help detection engineering teams?
Nova connects rule inventory, mapped coverage, observed alert activity, analyst feedback and reviewable proposals so teams can identify and govern improvements from one workflow.
Can Nova activate a detection rule automatically?
Not by default. Manual and AI-assisted proposals require review. Where automatic rule promotion is configured, a proposal must pass checks for supporting evidence, usefulness, quality, safety, duplication, and audit history. Promoting a detection rule does not authorize a response action.
What is the Nova Autonomous Detection Engine?
The Nova Autonomous Detection Engine helps detection teams find gaps in coverage and develop rules that address them. NADE uses observed activity, threat context, and detection feedback to prepare a proposed change with its rationale and expected behavior. Teams can examine the supporting evidence and validation results before approval. A generated proposal is not an active rule.
