Nova 2026.08 · Initial public release
Nova 2026.08 is the initial public release of Nova's cloud security and security operations platform. It brings asset visibility, risk assessment, threat detection, investigation and response into one workspace, with separate customer access and controls for response actions.
This note describes the public release boundary. Exact capabilities, data sources, regions, retention, assisted features, and supported actions are confirmed for each customer environment.
- Connected platform view across cloud risk, detections, evidence quality, active threats, and analyst work
- Cloud asset, posture, data security, exposure, attack surface, attack path, compliance, remediation, and exception workflows
- Event search with NQL, alert prioritization and ownership, evidence-led investigations, threat intelligence, and proactive threat hunting
- NovaQL detection rules, detection-quality review and proposed rule improvements that require approval
- Qyronis behavior analytics, NovaSignal alert scoring, Velora investigations, Nova Prime AI analysis where available, NADE detection proposals, RAZE attack scenarios, VFP controlled preview and DRX response
- In-app Help, account security, source health, activity notifications, saved reports and audit history
Availability and adoption
- Confirm the customer agreement, enabled capabilities, connection scope, regions, retention, and supported action set before adoption.
- Validate source health, evidence freshness, expected coverage, and customer scope before relying on a result.
- Use Help inside Nova for page-specific tasks and the exact capabilities available to the signed-in account.
- Follow deployment-specific maintenance, upgrade, continuity, and support information provided to the customer.
Known considerations
- Connection, provider service, evidence type, historical depth, and supported-action coverage differ by environment.
- Nova Prime synthesis is available only for included, eligible cases and does not replace the durable Core assessment.
- VFP remains a controlled preview where included and is not generally available for every customer.
- A clean view, low score, absent match, or completed workflow is not proof of safety when evidence is missing, stale, partial, or outside scope.
- A recommendation, proposal, simulation or AI conclusion does not grant permission to run a response action.
