Prepare a compatible authenticator
Nova supports authenticator applications that generate time-based one-time passwords. Install and unlock the approved authenticator on a device you control before beginning enrollment.
Enrollment may appear the first time you sign in or when your organization requires it. Complete it in one sitting and do not photograph or share the QR code or manual setup key.
Enroll and verify
- Open the authenticator and add a new account.
- Scan the QR code shown by Nova. If scanning is not available, enter the manual setup key exactly as shown.
- Confirm that the new entry is clearly labeled for your Nova account.
- Enter the current six-digit code in Nova before it changes.
- Continue only after Nova confirms the authenticator.
After enrollment
Save any recovery codes immediately using the approved secure method. Check that your device time is automatic because an incorrect clock can cause valid-looking codes to fail. If enrollment was not started by you or the displayed account is wrong, stop and contact your administrator or Hansec Support.
